Goals and Topics

ICCF-14 will be a scientific conference, so its primary goal is the presentation, discussion and publication of techniques and results relevant to the Fleischmann-Pons Effect. The conference will provide a means for active participants in the field to contribute to its advancement. Another major goal is to provide reviews and new results for people who are considering participation in the field, or who are simply interested in the scientific status and possibilities offered by this highly interdisciplinary and challenging field.

Topics for conference papers include, but are not limited to the following subjects:

  • Processes for loading hydrogen isotopes into metals and alloys, including electrochemical, gaseous, plasma and beam methods.
  • Techniques for measuring the conditions and outcomes of experiments, including calorimetry, analytical chemistry, radiation detection, and other methods that quantify experimental conditions.
  • Mechanisms and processes, such as transmutation of elements
  • Development and calibration of relevant instrumentation.
  • Theoretical concepts, and computational results based on them, which either explain past observations or predict the results of future experiments in the field.
  • Relevant statistical and analytical methods and results
  • Conceptual or more detailed designs of engineering systems based on the output of low energy nuclear reactions
  • Relevant topics from physics, chemistry, material science, geology or biology, or from electrical, thermal and mechanical engineering.

The Conference Agenda is the responsibility of the Technical Program Committee.
